FEATURED EVENT IPHIGENIA AT AULIS

In this gripping vision of what war can do to a nation, a people and a family, Euripides warns against the moral decay that infects countries in military conflict and how it can corrupt and deprive people of their humanity.

This saga begins as the Greek fleet is assembled in the port of Aulis, armed for war against Troy. At the moment of departure, the winds die, leaving the ships idle. A priest tells Agamemnon that he must sacrifice his beloved first-born daughter in order to appease the gods in return for favorable winds. As a father, he must decide between his political career and his devotion to his family. As the story unfolds, the audience is drawn into the mother's fight for her family and to save the life of her child, Iphigenia.

YOUR COUCH OR MINE?

The NDSU Little Country Theatre is proud to present Beyond Therapy, a comedy about what happens when two mismatched people rely on therapists to find a relationship in a neurotic world. Set in Manhattan, Beyond Therapy is the story of naïve Prudence as she struggles with the singles scene with the help of her chauvinistic therapist. When she answers Bruce’s zany personal ad, her world is thrown into a tailspin of crying, love triangles, guns and inept therapists. Love as usual, but through the skewed sensibilities of the award-winning comedic writer Christopher Durang.

Beyond Therapy is for mature audiences only and the L.A. Times calls the production “wickedly funny.”
